Some History....
When the company first opened its doors in 1923, about all you needed to be in the built-up roofing business was a wood-fired kettle, a few wheelbarrows, a truck and a rope and wheel.

Then in the thirties, tube-fired kettles and fiberboard insulation entered the picture. Steel roof decks paved the way for large roofing expanses. Our company quickly adopted the new materials and equipment and built a reputation for excellent work. And business started to boom: West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Kentucky and Ohio.

But the big growth took place in the seventies and eighties with further expansion into Kentucky and Ohio and then into the Southeast. We added full service offices and plants in Richmond and Martinsville, Va, Greenville, Raleigh, and Wilmington, NC, and Ocala, Florida. We acquired long standing, successful locally-owned firms with a reputation for excellence in product, service, and workmanship--in order to build and enhance our network.

Today, our company is made up of twelve locations covering the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
